What are Tabata workouts?
Tabata training is a high intensity interval training (HIIT) program developed by Japanese professor Dr. Izumi Tabata. The program consists of working
out at a high intensity for 20 seconds and then resting for 10 seconds. This is repeated 8 times, so that one round of Tabata training takes only 4 minutes.
Dr. Tabata originally used sprints on a spinning bike, but Tabata training can be done with any exercise that can be repeated often enough to work out at a high intensity for 20 seconds.
